Tom Brady paid Patrick Mahomes a compliment ahead of Sunday’s much-anticipated Super Bowl match.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be the first team to ever host and play in the same Super Bowl as they prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.
The biggest story that led to the big game was the quarterback duel that fans have to look forward to. In his 20th year in the league, many wondered if Tom Brady was finally beginning to regress or if he was a “systems quarterback” under Bill Belichick in New England.
Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, is the reigning Super Bowl MVP and the young phenomenon hoping to replace Brady if his legacy as the league’s top quarterback is finally challenged. Brady recently admitted he can see himself being over 45 years old.

As much as the two have been compared lately, Brady doesn’t seem to have a problem with it. Indeed, it seems like Brady has nothing but the greatest respect for Mahomes before the matchup. When asked about Mahomes, Brady said he felt Mahomes had the clutch gene.
Brady was the last in his time with the Patriots to win Super Bowls in a row, which Mahomes and the Chiefs will try in Super Bowl 55.
The Super Bowl will take place this Sunday, February 7th at 6:30 p.m. EST.
