Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes may be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but his pitching skills are nothing special.
Patrick Mahomes is currently on cloud nine. The superstar quarterback already has a Super Bowl ring in his name and will be looking to bring home the number 2 this weekend when Kansas City takes on Tampa Bay and Tom Brady.
Believe it or not, Mahomes is not perfect. He reminded us on Wednesday when he happened to be asked about his college days at Texas Tech. In case you didn’t know, Mahomes was on the baseball team too. His debut on the bump, however, was nothing to write home about.
Patrick Mahomes, who did statistics with Texas Tech, was nothing short of terrible
Oh, Mr. Mahomes. His debut was certainly one to be forgotten as he couldn’t even get out of the inning and was torn after not picking up even a single. Says he probably has an “infinite” ERA, probably isn’t too far away.
Fortunately for Mahomes, his poor performance at Texas Tech didn’t negatively affect his life after college. He has found seasonal work in Kansas City that makes him an average of $ 50 million a year.
In all seriousness it was remarkable what Mahomes could do for the Chiefs early in his career. In the AFC championship game against the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes was fantastic again, throwing 325 yards and three touchdowns.
In just his third year in the league, Mahomes is preparing to bring home his second Lombardi Trophy. All eyes will be on the superstar beeper to see if he and Kansas City Brady can deny his seventh Super Bowl title.
