One can say that with certainty Connor McDavid stole the show again against his hometown team. The Toronto Maple Leafs, who played in their fourth game in Alberta, couldn’t find a way to defeat the Edmonton Oilers in overtime. The good news – they scored 7 out of 8 on the road which is brilliant.
Auston Matthews scored again and contributed to his now five-goal series. William Nylander scored for the second game in a row. Mikko Lehtonen also got his first NHL point on a power play goal from Zach Hyman.
But the Maple Leafs lost. And the only reason they did that is because of the retro jerseys they wore in this game. No other reasons.
A great road trip with a sign of the Toronto Maple Leafs growing. And more importantly, another fun video made by me. Enjoy!
