Things are not going well at the Dallas Mavericks Camp right now.
After being boosted by the brutal Covid-19 protocols that have affected a number of teams so far this season, Star Guard Luka Doncic has also criticized the lack of effort on the part of him and his teammates in recent games .
They have lost seven of their last nine games and are currently in a series of four defeats. After more than a quarter of the season they lost 8-11.
After being destroyed by a fiery jazz team yesterday, Doncic was asked about the team’s efforts and he replied with just one word: “terrible”.
However, he then explained that everyone (including him) would have to improve quickly to get their season going again.
“There really isn’t much to say. I’ve never felt like this, ”said Doncic.
“We have to do something because it doesn’t look good and we have to improve and just talk to each other and (…) play better. It’s mainly effort. “
Then Doncic went into details, saying that the teams who appeared to be apathetic about victory were a major cause for concern.
“I’d say now it looks like we honestly don’t care if we win games or not.”
“(We need) more energy, (and) more effort.” Said Doncic.
“(We have to) dive for every ball. Box out. Everything. There are many things we can improve and I know we will. I know we will and that’s all that matters there. “
