TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: loan
LAFC has loaned winger Brian Rodriguez to Spanish club UD Almeria, the club announced on Monday shortly after the European transfer window closed. The deal could become permanent if certain performance thresholds are met.
The 20-year-old Rodriguez has already played nine international matches for the Uruguayan national team. He had two goals and seven assists in 26 games with LAFC after joining in the summer of 2019.

“Brian is moving to Almería to advance the promotion to the top Spanish league,” said LAFC Co-President and GM John Thorrington in a club statement. “Since arriving in 2019, Brian has been a central point of our attack and a huge reason for our success. This move gives him a great opportunity to play important games at the highest level in European football. “
The move opens a designated player spot for LAFC. Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi occupy the other two.
Almeria are currently in second place in the Spanish second division, making them a favorite for promotion to La Liga.
