Kyrie Irving has spoken for the first time since she was held up by the Brooklyn Nets for refusing to vaccinate.
Irving went to Instagram Live moments ago and assured fans that reports of his possible retirement were not true.
“Don’t think I’m going to retire,” said Irving. “Don’t think I’ll give up on this game … don’t believe anything about that fucking man.”
Irving said he wasn’t against the vaccine, but his problems lay with mandates forcing people to choose between their jobs and getting the vaccine.
“If you choose a vaccine, I will support you. If you decide not to have a vaccine, I will support you, ”he said. “But don’t judge what others are doing with their lives.
“There must be no gap here. We should all be equally accommodating, but in order to demonize and judge and point the finger, think about what kind of position that person is being put. “
Irving said he “prayed” for those who have lost loved ones to Covid-19. He also called his critics over and said none of the people who challenged him would ever say anything to his face.
There’s more to come.
