The 36-year-old Soria has made 223 saves in his 13-year career, two of which last year in the second of his two seasons with the A’s. The right-handed, a two-time All-Star, has an ERA of 3.01 in 725 2/3 career innings.
The D-Backs had asked for help after introducing Archie Bradley the Reds and Andrew Chafin the Boy just before last year’s close of trading. Arizona also failed to make use of the contract options for Hector Rondón and Junior Guerra.
