JJ Redick is still one of the better shooters in the NBA even at 36 and continues to make a huge impact on the field of play. Redick is currently a member of the New Orleans Pelicans and is in the final year of his current contract. He’s making around $ 13.1 million this season.
While we’ve seen quite a few trades this season, chances are that Redick could be another popular name in the trading market for the next several months.
According to Shams Charania from The athleteThe Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics have emerged as potential trading destinations for Redick. Charania also reported that Redick prefers to return to the northeast with his family in Brooklyn. Regardless of where it ends up if it is traded, it makes the most sense for a competitor to acquire it – as it would help improve the score to get a deep playoff run.
Although Redick didn’t have as much playing time as usual this season as several young pelican guards earned more time, he was still solid. He has averaged 7.9 points per game this season but struggled with 298 shots from deep.
