Dele Alli’s hopes of sealing a deadline-day exit from Tottenham Hotspur were dealt a blow after comments from Inter Milan boss Giuseppe Marotta.
The England international are pushing to see Mauricio Pochettino reunited at Paris Saint-Germain, to which Jose Mourinho reportedly agreed, but the final decision rests with Daniel Levy.
With Spurs losing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to an injury, Levy reportedly isn’t interested in losing Alli unless a replacement is due.
This sparked a resurgence in interest in Christian Eriksen, who spent twelve months at Inter Milan, and the Danish international seemed to have the key to Alli’s chances of an exit.

On the way to the deadline, Alli’s chances of being allowed to leave were dealt a severe blow after Marotta ruled out late departures from San Siro – and checked Eriksen’s name in the process.
“As Antonio Conte said, if there are some players who are unhappy and want to find other clubs, it is not right to hold them back,” he told DAZN.
