Here is your Chelsea morning breakdown for Wednesday 3rd February.
Blues can plan a Ligue 1 attack
Chelsea, along with a host of other clubs around the world, could be preparing for a Ligue 1 transfer attack in the not too distant future.
According to French daily L’Equipe, the top French league is facing increasing financial difficulties after it was revealed on Tuesday that the league only had 48 hours to be bailed out.
With the league under such a financial burden, it is time to force Ligue 1 clubs to cut their respective wage bills and clothing cuts, which in turn should see asking prices for players to drop sharply. The news could alarm Chelsea as they have been familiar with signing players from France in the past.
Those who could leave their respective clubs for a cheaper price than you would normally expect includes Kylian Mbappe, who has at times been linked with moving to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea prepares for the busy summer
After a quiet January transfer window with no new arrivals, Chelsea and head coach Thomas Tuchel will be looking to get back on the market this summer as the German will no doubt be interested in giving his squad his own authority.
The Blues are already linked to a number of players, including RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, and Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.
In order to have a chance to sign these players, the Chelsea hierarchy needs to know they have to loosen the purse strings once more. However, Football.London understands that the Blues will be ready to start spending again this summer, with FFP rules being relaxed and owner Roman Abramovich not short of money.

Bavaria ready for Upamecano battle
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of Bayer Munich, has confirmed that the German giants will have to face Chelsea and Liverpool in the race for RB Leipzig defender Upamecano.
The French center-back, considered one of the best up and coming defenders in European football, has been in formidable form for Leipzig this season and his £ 38m release clause is about to activate this summer.
He has been linked with Chelsea for the past few weeks as they aim to bolster their defenses this coming summer, as well as Bayern.

“In addition to Bayern Munich, there are at least two very attractive, interested clubs [in Upamecano]”Said Bayern boss Rummenigge to Sky Germany.
“The fact is, the player is interesting – we will almost certainly lose David Alaba in this position.
“You have to let things grow in peace. We have a good relationship with Mr. Struth [Upamecano’s agent]. The player will eventually know what he wants.
“We also have a good relationship with RB Leipzig. When things get concrete, we’ll talk again.
“The fact that Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in him shows that he has very good qualities. He can replace David Alaba. “
