Hello and welcome to this evening press conference blog as Thomas Tuchel will be speaking to the media following Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
Tuchel took his place in the dugout just a day after he was confirmed as a replacement for Frank Lampard after the 42-year-old was released on Monday.
The former head coach of Borussia Dortmund and PSG immediately made a statement with his team selection against the Wolves and brought back Jorginho and Cesar Azpilicueta in an unfamiliar 3-5-2 with Callum Hudson-Odoi as right-back.
Chelsea saw much of the ball – nearly 900 passes – but were unable to penetrate a stoic wolf defense as Tuchel’s side were largely limited to half chances and long shots.
Tuchel will ask questions in the 90 minutes, his first experiences with Chelsea and the Premier League and what plans he now has for the team and the squad.
