Here are your Arsenal headlines for Wednesday January 27th.
Wright’s Saka wish
Arsenal legend Ian Wright prays his former side Bukayo Saka won’t lose to injury as the youngster has accumulated many miles lately.
“When you consider that Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe have had cramps, it just goes to show how much work they’ve done,” Wright told Optus Sport.
“Saka, everyone worries about him because he’s so young and has the weight to put on the entire arsenal – just like Smith Rowe and when Martinelli comes back – but they are doing it right now.
“Arsenal have to play with this intensity. They kept it simple, closed them, advanced faster and can punish teams.
“Smith Rowe got away with cramps today. They hope that if something happens to these guys from a creative point of view, Saka can stay fit. These are the guys who push Arsenal alongside Thomas Partey (and), if something happens for them it could stall again. “
Aubameyang declares absence
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has explained why he missed Arsenal’s last two games after being eliminated from the squad to face Southampton in the FA Cup before missing the Premier League clash with the Saints.
“Hey guys. Thank you for all the messages and calls over the past few days,” he said.
“My mother has some health problems and I had to be there for her. She is much better now and I’ll be home tonight.

“I’m more than grateful to the doctors and nurses for helping her with this.
“And of course, thanks to my Arsenal family for the love yesterday! I’m more determined than ever to keep our momentum going!
“Thank you again – I am truly delighted to have this level of support and love from all of you and I can’t wait to be back.”
