The Packers played six games against the Bears last week. Here are five reasons they’ll make it to seven against Washington on Sunday.
Aaron Rodgers ‘bold declaration that he owns the Bears crowned the Packers’ sixth straight win last Sunday. He may not be able to stay the same at Washington, but that won’t stop Green Bay from setting his record at 7-1 once the dust clears on Sunday afternoon.
Ron Rivera’s team hobbled into this game with a 2-4 record. That may be enough for second place in the NFC East at the moment, but it shows exactly how far Washington is currently from a place in the Green Bay league.
Washington’s defensive front can cause the Packers offense some difficulty at the start, but Green Bay will end up with a comfortable victory. Here are five bold predictions about how it will turn out for Rodgers and his teammates.
5. Rodgers are fired at least three times
Washington’s defensive line hasn’t lived up to the hype this season, but they have a good chance of a solid performance against Green Bay’s offensive line on Sunday. Look for Chase Young and Montez Sweat to seriously heat up Rodgers from the local area.
That leads to at least three sacks of the future hall-of-fame caller. It won’t be enough to change the flow of the game, but there should at least be something on Washington’s defensive front to build on.
