Brian Flores’ team is at the bottom of the AFC East. The Miami Dolphins want to end their five-game winning streak with a win over the Falcons.
From an opening win at Foxborough on Sunday to last place at AFC East. In Week 6, the New York Jets were out while the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins all bit the dust.
But what was especially worrying if you were head coach Brian Flores is the fact that his team was defeated by the previously winless Jacksonville Jaguars. The 23:20 setback in London ended a 20-game losing streak – the second-longest slide in NFL history.
Now it’s the Dolphins who are in the middle of a losing streak of five games. The team ranks 30th in the NFL in total yards per game and the club has allowed the third most yards per competition. Now the club takes on the Atlanta Falcons, who last won in London in week 5.
5. TE Mike Gesicki leads the team in catches and receiving yards
Last week, when the team lost to the Jaguars, he had a total of eight receptions for 115 yards. But wide receiver Jaylen Waddle had a team high of 10 catches. Against the Colts in Week 4, he led the Dolphins with five receptions. However, Wideout DeVante Parker posted a team best of 77 yards in 77.
Tight End Mike Gesicki is an important part of Miami’s passing game. Having got off to a slow start, he’s made a total of 27 catches in his last four games, helping the fins widen the field. Look for him on Sunday to frustrate the Hawks’ defense with his overall 2021 performance.
